Dawn Matthews

Born-August, 24, 1929 - Left us-June, 30, 2009

Dawn passed away in her home on Oakmont Place in Sun City, CA.  She suffered from a number of illnesses that she knew would soon end her life.

Dawn served as a Chief Petty Officer for the Navy and also worked as a Navel Nurse.  Dawn was very proud to have served her country.

She was a friend to us at Sun City K-9 Adoptions.  We made a promise to her that if any thing should happen, we would make sure her beloved Cat "Ki Ki" would be taken care of.

That sad day came and we are happy to say we fulfilled her wishes with the very hard work and dedication of Pamela Hall (president- Menifee Valley Humane Society)  We couldn't do it with out Pamela.

Ki Ki now has his new home with his new Mommy.

Dawn, we Love you, miss you, and save us a good seat in Heaven !!

EVELYN BROWN

Rusty was a very un social dog and very hard to re-home.  One day Evelyn came to visit.  She said that she was lonely and needed a companion.  To make a long story short, "Rusty" jumped upon her lap.  It was like MAGIC. It was truly meant to be.  I remember Evelyn telling us that as a little girl she always wanted a dog, but was not allowed.  Her parents prohibited her from having a pet.  Evelyn finally got her wish and met Rusty.  Being her first Dog ever she had so many questions.  She was so excited.  She took Rusty home and they got along famously.  As her health began to fail her, Rusty had to come back to us.  Evelyn, we know that you are looking down at Rusty in his new home with his new family and seeing how happy he is.  Because of you he learned to trust and to know what love is, he had that because you taught him.  God Bless your soul, we will always remember your smile and laughter and stories.

Love,  RUSTY, and the Sun City K-9 Adoptions, Family
